2019 Cantina Ribelà Rosso
Daniele Presutti and Chiara Bianchi are inspiring young growers Roman born and raised.
They long held a dream to produce wines from Frascati that were a direct and clear expression of the real terroir, sadly something that had been lost in the mass industrialisation of the area in the past 50 years. This wine is Cesanese 60% and Sangiovese 40%. Fermented on indigenous yeasts with 8 days maceration. Aged in fibreglass. Wild blackberry, blackberry leaf and a smidge of balsamic highlight this classically styled red, wrapped neatly in velvety tannins over a mid weight frame.
