2019 Ancestrale Vino Rosso II



Uber Italian wine person Giorgio de Maria took his pal Antonio from Cantina Giardino on a ferry to Salina to make this wine with his friends from AA Ancestrale SRL.
All done by hand, bucketed into amphora, gently done, using corinto nero, nerello mascalese, perricone are the varieties. Full on spicy perfume, pomegranate, sea spray, attractive smoky notes. The palate is fresh, deep, savoury as can be, more pomegranate, saline mineral character, sage leaf, the deep brown spice and a nutty, savoury finish.
