2019 A.R.C. Wines Riesling
A.R.C. stands for "a random collection".
All notes are from James and Jessica, the beautiful couple behind the wines...
This is Riesling from one of the Peninsula’s oldest sites. The Karina Vineyard in Dromana was planted in 1984 and runs north south over heavy white clay and is farmed by Andrew Hickinbotham. Fruit was whole bunch pressed with the skins of some Pinot Gris, which added floral intensity. Wild fermentation took 8 weeks in stainless before being moved to an old 500ltr French puncheon and a 225 Ltr old French barrique. Here it aged on fine lees for 6 months in barrel. Bottled unfiltered and un-fined with 15 parts of SO2 added in the week leading up to bottling.
