2018 Travis Tausend Albert
All fruit is sourced from 25 year old vines in Hope Forrest, the southern part of the Adelaide hills that borders McLaren Vale. Clay, Ironstone, schist and sand make up the composition of the soil and the vineyard is farmed organically. Travis harvested the fruit a little earlier in 18 wanting to have more freshness than the previous vintage’s opulence. Directly pressed into tank, fermenting over 2 weeks. The juice was then racked off into old barriques where it remained for 14 months before being bottled. Nectarine, grapefruit citrus and licks of lemon curd. Focused minerality and perfect drinking at this time of the year. There is texture that builds with air, but everything is perfectly in balance.
