2018 Siemàn Occhio Al Rosso

Watch the Red.
All made from tai rosso grape variety, which is grenache, in central Veneto. What a thing. Holistic/organic farmed, no additives. Stainless steel, a week or so of skin ferment, aged in concrete and wood. Beautiful producer, first releases in Australia. Garnet coloured. Crunchy, bright and fresh feel here. Rose hip tea, cherry juice, very firm, herb-laced tannins, a course of pulsing, crushed rock minerality. Exceptional length, love the tension, moreish, mouth-watering acidity too. Has a dried flower thing going on. Savoury as. Love this. A few grades up from rose with a million train tracks of tannin. Exceptional grenache. Mike Bennie - The Wine Front
