2018 LattaVINO Headwaters Nebbiolo

Tasted alongside six Langhe Nebbiolo and rosso from 2018, and a brace of 2016 Barolo, not for comparison, though perhaps for context.
Poached strawberries, rhubarb, perfume of mint and flowers, and perhaps a little caramel too. It’s fresh and juicy, with squishy red fruit, succulence of tannin and fine cool acidity, something of a savoury sausage character, and a long spiced strawberry finish. Lovely wine. Sinewy with generosity. Fine dusty and spicy tannin lingers. Gary Walsh - The Wine Front
