2018 Konpira Maru La Douche Tropicale de Murgon
Notes from Alastair, the maker..: 100% Verdelho. After free run was drained for the "Murgon Mango' the remainder of the juice and skins were left in tank to ferment naturally. Held on skins for 2 weeks post ferment and then basket pressed into tank. The wine was racked twice before being hand bottled. Unfined and unfiltered with no additions. A great variety for the skin contact style with its naturally aromatic style. Do not expect your average sweet highly aromatic Verdelho. This shows honey suckle and herbs with grippy tannins and fresh acidity. Like a tropical iced tea.
