Purveyors of fine grape juice
2018 Jilly Wines White Wolf of Cumbria Red new england, australia

Tempranillo, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.
Some strong presence of whole bunch in the mix, or so it seems. Creative winemaking and adaptive grape selection from Jared Dixon, he who is behind Jilly Wines. Such an exciting, good label here. Shaking up the scene in New South Wales. Go Cockroaches. Under screwcap now.
Fragrant red of forest berry fruits, sweet spice, herbal notes, rose petal characters and some earthiness in the mix too – perfume and palate in synch. From the lovely start you segue to a sloshy textured palate, though a building chew of tannins helps shape things and fresh acidity ties the wine together well. Overall, a satisfying, vibrant red of bright flavours and good sense of ‘energy’. Lots going on, including high drinkability. Charisma plus. Mike Bennie - The Wine Front
