2018 Fattori Al Fiore Bianco

Delaware, koshu and a miniscule plop of chardonnay in the mix.
Skin fermented delaware for two weeks, hangs in amphora, then the other varieties get blended in and it all co-ferments. No additions, organic farming, wickedly interesting wines. Smoky, clove-spiked orange scents, wild herbs, seaweed and sea spray notes. Bright and flavoursome, powdery texture with blistering acidity and yet a gentleness. Mandarin and cumquat flavours, green herb, tangy citrus, wild characters, very savoury too, hay and sweet earthiness, fennel. Wicked stuff here, so hard to reference but so enjoy it.
