2018 Escoda Sanahuja Els Bassotets



Joan Ramón Escoda and Carmen Sanahuja started in the world of agriculture in 1997.
From 2003, they decided to implement the biodynamic method in their vineyards. Their vines have always had a vegetative cover to maintain the soil - it's balanced, rich in humus and microorganisms. This helps them to keep the humidity, something very important in dry climates like the Conca de Barbera. This is a blend of some native arietals - Chenin, Parellada, Macabeu, Garnacha Blanca, Sumoll- all fermented together in a concrete tank. You can really taste the concrete. Just jokes, obviously you can't. It's lean and lively but has loads of texture. A great white.
