2018 Chekura Mingaco



Pablo and Daniela of Chekura make tiny amounts of wine from their single hectare of Moscatel and Cinsault in Checura, Itata Valley.
Making their own preparations and compost teas from sea water, native plants and forest floor fungi (that come from their land from their land), they learn from, adapt to, and are inspired by the relationships they observe between above and below ground biology. This is one of the purest and most balanced expressions of Moscatel we've come across. Opulent but defiantly structured, bursting with temperate fruits and softly savoury, evolving over several days open to reveal more citrus, phenolics and exotic herbs. Truly beautiful.
