2018 Belinda Thomson Sea Party

The 2018 Sea Party came about because Belinda Thomson (Crawford River Wines) had a number of barrels of Sauvignon and Semillon that developed a light flor for about 10 months.
The fruit for this cuvee is from a parcel that was planted at Crawford River in 1991. Bee loved the style so decided to leave the barrels in ullage and allow the wine to develop some oxidative aspects. The flor faded away after the summer of 18/19 and, as much as Bee seriously loved the wine (Bee is very, very keen on oxidative whites), it was clear that wasn't really a fit for the house style of Crawford River.
