There are few wineries in the world comparable to Strekov 1075, named for the town it resides in and the year in which the town was founded. Winemaker Zsolt Sütó cultivates 12 hectares of organically farmed vines in the southwest area of Slovakia, which is mostly culturally and linguistically Hungarian. Grüner Veltliner hand harvested and destemmed. The juice is fermented in 3-year-old 225-liter barrels with no added sulfur. The wine is topped off, but then ages under flor for 2 months and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
