Purveyors of fine grape juice
2017 Sigurd Rosé barossa valley, australia
$25

So this is 50% grenache, 20% of shiraz and mourvedre, and 10% is gewurztraminer.
Picked and pressed off straight away. Raised in oak barrels. Fancy feeling rose from Dan Graham. Complex, engaging rose of sweet fruit yet savoury detail. A winning combo. Floral and red cherry perfume with touches of rose water and strawberry. Electric acidity through a juicy yet tightly reigned in red-berry-orientated palate, but with saline-mineral character and a fine smudge of tannin to finish. Yippee. I want to drink this by the flagon. This is excellent rose by any standard. Mike Bennie - The Wine Front
