2017 Patrice Béguet Fresh Impressions Blanc
Winemaker Patrice Béguet, born in the Jura, gave up Paris city life and returned to the Jura countryside with his wife, Caroline Hughes. They purchased heritage vineyards on great terroir, and set up a small winery under their house in Mesnay adopting sustainable viticulture practices and winemaking techniques. A collaboration between Patrice's friend Benoit Landron from the Loire Valley. This wine is 90% Muscadet from Ancenis and 10% Savagnin and Chardonnay from the Jura all fermented with indigenous yeast. No sulphites or filtration at any stage. It's a fresh and zippy wine with a little dissolved CO2.
