In a rented winery 40-minute train ride north of Barcelona, Oriol Artigas makes very unique wines. They reflect a particular corner of Catalunya where the Mediterranean sea influence is greatly felt amongst the high elevation vineyards he sources from. Oriol started out making wine in 2007 with one barrel; he now works about 7.5 hectares of vineyard on mostly granitic soils. He also teaches in a nearby wine marketing school since 2008. This is Pansa Blanca harvested by hand, 80% destemed, crushed and pressed. 20% Skin contact and aged 10months on lees in stainless tank.
