Purveyors of fine grape juice
2016 Murdoch Hill Ridley Pinot x Two adelaide hills, australia

This is 60% Pinot Meunier and 40% Pinot Noir. Pinot Noir from Piccadilly, the Meunier is from Oakbank.
Some whole bunches in the mix. “I just though the pinot noir on its own was a bit edgy, a bit lost at back palate, putting Meunier in there sort of felt like it gave softness and length. It came together nicely”, offers winemaker Michael Downer, “it’s really about being less fixated, as we are in Australia, on single variety wines”.
Bolts out of the glass with red cherry fruit, almost glacé-like in sweetness, but cut with orange rind, musk, anise and pepper. Ripper! Slinky, satiny and sour-sweet in the palate. A pop of jagged acidity sits beneath a silky sheet of crisp red fruit, and lithe tannin pinches the wine as it sits mouthwatering at its finish. Really delicious. Mike Bennie - The Wine Front
