2016 Mas Coutelou Blanc Le Blanc
The only white Coutelou made in 2016. It is a fresh and perfumed blend of 40% Macabeu, 30% Grenache Gris, 20% Clairette, 10% Muscat à Petits Grains. Lifted floral aromas, lemon pith, and pleasantly citric notes mingle with tangy ripe orchard fruits. The palate is full and round from the Macabeau but there is an energetic freshness from the Clairette to balance the rich stonefruit flavors. The finish is refreshing with a lingering note of bitter almond. Lovely.
