2016 Lucy Margaux Gris Gris
The self described wild man of the Australian wine industry is back in the house. We've been drinking these wines since way before DRNKS even existed. Anton works in a truly minimal sense. He works with vineyards all over the Adelaide Hills, all farmed on an organic basis. He works very closely with the Buttons siblings, and most of his fruit comes from them. This is the more intense version of the Gris Blush. This wine is destemmed - and then kept on skins for 3 months. Essentially straight up red winemaking technique. The fruit is a lot more intense, and the tannins are crazy.
