The Binner estate is a very special part of Alsace. Average age of vines is 35 years, with some over 100 years and established in 1770. Christian Binner makes wine without the use of sulfur, and the fact that he makes mostly white wines, makes this fact a lot more serious. He has many years of work in organics and healthy soil in the vines, and long elevage times, many of which take place in traditional very large Alsatian foudres. This, the Brutal, is Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, and Riesling. It spends 18 days on skins, and is then aged for 11 months in the above mentioned foudres.
