2016 Architects Of Wine Pinot Noir
Oooohhhh serious vibes here. Notes from the makers..: The Piccadilly Valley is home to some of the best Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the Adelaide Hills. So we couldn't exactly make Chardonnay without also making Pinot! Sourced from a vineyard in Summertown, 570m above sea level this wine was fermented in 3 distinct variations... 100% destemmed, 100% whole bunch, and 100% carbonic maceration. Each individual fermentation was aged separately in old Barriques before blending just prior to bottling. When you pop the cork this wine shows a little reductive funk... but a good swirl in the glass [or decanter] and the wine blossoms. Red cherries, raspberries and florals supported by the more savoury, earthy whole bunch characters. Brisk acidity keeping you wanting for more. We highly recommend decanting this wine.
