2016 Antoniotti Bramaterra
This is a blend of 70% Nebbiolo, 20% Croatina, 7% Vespolina and 3% Uva Rara.
From the "Alto Piemonte" area, north of the famous Langhe region. Antoniotti is one of the oldest producers in Bramaterra. He has been farming for decades in this little denomination with very small vineyard sites in a very old fashioned way. A cult winery that exudes history. 40 years old vines located in Martinazzi Cru on porphyry soils of volcanic origin at about 400-450 meters high. Spontaneous fermentation in cement tanks for about 20 days. 30 months in large Allier oak barrels. Complex minerality, slightly balsamic, fine tannins with this interminable palate.
