2015 Jean Jacques Morel Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Combes au Sud



Here’s a wonderful fine-boned wine that combines delicacy and flavour.
I’m thinking oatmeal, flowers and vanilla, white peach and the like, but the theme is this crushed rock/mineral/flinty thing that pulses through the wine, or is the pulse. Acidity is so fine and draws it out like a two kids playing with tin can telephones, and maybe there’s the softness of pie apple in the aftertaste, to continue the homely metaphors.
