Purveyors of fine grape juice
2015 Geyer Wine Co. Muscat Alexandrie riverland, australia
$32

Dave Geyer is Barossa-based but extends himself to source from the 80-year-old patch of muscat of Alexandria grapes that happen to be on Ashley Ratcliff’s Ricca Terra Farms vineyard.
Whoa! Buckle in. This is seriously aromatic. Quince, lolly bags, cucumber, honeycomb, lemon curd – lots going on in the bright, sweet, fruity set. Like it. The variety says hello, come on in. Palate is a refreshment blast of lemon barley water and cucumber-like herbal notes. Easy to drink, slides and slips, finishes with grassiness and zingy, tonic water length. It’s summery and lovely. It’s simple. It’s what we should be drinking more of; unadorned, easy drinking, lightly textural white stuff. Mike Bennie - The Wine Front
