2015 Cascina Pugnane Barolo Pugnane
Interesting to note the Pugnane comes in a ‘claret’ bottle, while the Bussia comes in the Albeisa bottle.
In 2013, I thought Pugnane was a little better in quality than Bussia, and this year, it’s the other way around, though I love them both, and still really kind of like Pugnane more. Oh Pugnane. Ripe and perfumed, floral, liquorice root, flowering basil. Ripe tannin, raspberry juiciness, succulence and roundness, then pulls tight on a long finish, brick dust trailing. Delicious.
