Purveyors of fine grape juice
2014 Ruggabellus Timaeus barossa valley, australia

It’s a blend of grenache 83%, mataro 14% and cinsault 3%.
I first tasted this at temperatures honing in on zero with a fine drizzle, ankle deep in mud, at the incredible new (old) Gibson family property in Flaxman Valley in the Barossa.
Beautiful perfume. Delicate and pretty, musky, like a sweet cologne lingering in a room. Red fruits, briar, white pepper, candy, but it feels warm and pretty as a scent. It’s surprisingly savoury to taste – game meats, red fruits again, amaro sour-sweetness, a gently bitter finish. Satiny in texture with a ripple of sandy tannin. Superb wine, and as delicate as expressions of the Barossa Valley get, without anaemia. Mike Bennie - The Wine Front
