2014 La Folle Berthe P’tite Berthe
David Foubert gave up the office life to move to the Loire and make wine. He leases plots at La Tour Grise, which has been farmed biodynamically for over 20 years. 2014 was his first vintage. Soft pressing of grapes, fermented with indigenous yeasts for 6 months in tank. No fining or filtering, just a touch of sulphur. An easy going red, that opens up in the glass. Simple and fruity, with some savoury characteristics.
