2014 Domaine De Montbourgeau L’Etoile Savagnin

A beautiful wine with a strong sense of ‘Jura hallmark characters’, offering some faint fino sherry and warmed almond notes but seems to mainline green and ripe apple fruit characters mainly.
Perfume has a touch of florals too, but feels ‘minerally’ without definition, sea spray and oyster shell in the mix and generally very fresh. The palate is long, fine, sleek with mouth-watering acidity and a sense of precision. Finesse, evenness, exceptional length, all that Jura business going on, it’s such a pleasure to drink. Such.
