Jessop wines is the collaboration of brothers, Chris and Matthew!
This is the first vintage for Jessop Wines but they are far from inexperienced. Winemaker, Chris has worked vintage all over Europe at wineries including Clemens Busch and Dr. Loosen. He now leads the winemaking at Logan in Orange as well as spearheading his own label with brother Matthew. 100% single vineyard Riesling from Orange, NSW. Chris has taken all he’s learnt overseas and created a beautiful example of Mosel style Rizza. Cold settled for 24 hours in stainless, then racked to neutral oak for a 24 day ferment. Winemaking muscles were flexed when they chose to stop ferment with some residual sugar. The choice was justified. Perfect balance of acid and sugar. Balanced, mineral and wonderful tension. Key-lime pie, and apples galore. Simply a really really enjoyable drink.
