Single vineyard in Orange.
A cold and wet year meant that red varieties in Orange struggled to get sugar ripe before flavour ripeness so this one is low alcohol wine with lots of tension. The Cabernet Franc was fermented with 1/3rd whole bunches and the Syrah was fermented separately without any stems as they were still very green at harvest. They were separately pressed but aged together in an old French oak puncheon on full fermentation lees. Tastes like bramble berry, blackberry, and a hint of blueberry and tobacco leaf.
