‘Eddie’ was a single barrel salvaged from the small plot of MV6, 114 and 115 and some riper D5V12 on the bony top slope of the main block of Kenn Fisher’s Norton Summit Vineyard. 100% destemmed into two open hogsheads. The mildew reduced yield mean an out of whack proportion of stems for whole bunch. A bit dowdy to start thanks in part to the barrel this was being held back for a 2019 release but with virtually no Pinot, and no cash flow, it was an easy choice, plus its starting to drink nicely albeit in a more “classic” way. Classic Adelaide Hills in style.
