Established in 1891 as a mixed agriculture business, Weingut Brand now comprises 18 hectares under vine and is run by young gun’s Daniel and Jonas Brand. Since 1994 the farming has been done without the use of any herbicides or pesticides, and in 2015 it was fully converted to organics. Maceration for 4 days on skins and rested in old foudre for 6 months. An aromatically spicy nose, the palate has a savoury middle surrounded by nashi pear, ginger and figs. Coming off limestone soil, the minerality is pristine with balanced acidity and a beautiful long finish.
