2016 François Rousset-Martin Puits St Pierre
François father, a former micro-biologist for the Hospices de Beaune, had sold the majority of the grapes to the local cooperative and produced only a little wine for the family. This has changed somewhat and today Francois works around 4.5 acres and sells the rest of the grapes to the Co-op. This is from vines on the best part of Château Chalon, again it has a brilliant multi-dimension. 6 months sous-voile then topped up for the rest of the elevage. This is deep and dense for now, rich and nutty with a salty rancio tang on the finish. Incredibly long and powerful, this will make a great old bottle in time...
