2021 Chalmers Vineyard Colbinabbin Nebbiolo

Notes from Pat:
An elegantly structured, perfumed Nebbiolo from the first crop grown on the new Chalmers’ Vineyard Nebbiolo planting. During my time in Barbaresco I became quite fixated on seeing the best of Colbinabbin’s fascinating soils in a ‘classical’ Nebbiolo. The incredible Chalmers family obliged with a new planting. The planting here is a reflection of their nursery program and contains an extremely diverse array material. Planted on the sweet middle of the slope with E/W orientation this block provides the best possible leaping off point for the variety in the region in my opinion. This wine is still very young, made with elegance and longevity center of mind. I thoroughly enjoy drinking the wine now and look forward to its short and long term development.
